Meet Emily

After years of working in the hospitality industry and social services industry, I started this business out of a love for hosting and creating memorable experiences for others. With a degree in social work, I found many of the skills I learned in that field transferred well to my role as an event planner. Managing case loads and curating resources was a staple of my job and I naturally fell into a familiar rhythm with event planning. My experience planning my own elopement in Scotland inspired me to pursue the wedding industry and I knew immediately that it was the perfect fit for my personality and skills. Upon returning from our elopement, I became connected with destination wedding photographer and asked if any of her clients wanted a complimentary planner to test my skills. Several did and things took off quickly from there! I began assisting planners to gain more experience and started taking on weddings big and small. The creative aspect of event planning fulfills the part of my soul that loves to create and get lost in a project. My childhood was full of scrapbooking, painting. and every DIY project imaginable. I was also known to rearrange and decorate my friends rooms at sleepovers and that still hasn’t changed!
I genuinely love watching people celebrate together and the beauty found in the human experience. I’m a sentimentalist and being a part of such special moments truly brings me so much joy. Seeing families gathered around a table, big or small, celebrating and sharing stories always leaves me with a big smile on my face. It reminds me of my own family and how we can spend hours around the dinner table catching up and reminiscing over our favorite memories. My goal is to be a calming presence throughout my clients planning journey.

My Style

My design style is elevated and modern with an adventurous spirit. I’m drawn to organic textures and tones but I’m also not afraid of color and bold elements. I love finding the balance between incorporating trendy details while maintaining a timeless feel. I’m inspired by beautiful locations, interior design, and the feeling you get when you’re in a space that feels aesthetically perfect. My goal is to give my clients that feeling when they enter the space we designed for them.

Get to Know me
Most of my free time is spent soaking up time with my husband Chris and my daughters, Eloise & Rowan. I love enjoying our community in Boise, spending time with family in our home state of Georgia, and adventuring to new places. The rare moments I get to myself are typically spent with a good book, decorating our home, planning new adventures, and listening to true crime podcasts. I’m motivated by travel and the feeling of adventuring somewhere new. I love it so much that I’ve driven to every state in the lower 48 and I’m always itching to be on the road. Having kids has made me appreciate the slower moments spent at home and creating memories as a family.
